Wonderful restaurant. Amazing quality food at a good price, luxury, top-notch ambience with a live pianist, and welcome service from the server/host. We ordered the eggplant parmigiana, and was not disappointed with the quality of the food. I would definitely recommend checking out Giovanni’s in Ardmore if you are in town.
Thieves, thieves, THIEVES!!! This is NOT an Italian Food Restaurant! My wife and I were in town and looking for a cozy noncommercial, non-chain, locally owned restaurant to enjoy an evening together on our weekend getaway. I found this location and decided to visit because of the great reviews. To our surprise upon receiving our appetizer, we noticed that our food wasn't fresh. We tried the Bruschetta that should be broiled and should have cheese. It was neither! The Fried Mozzarella Sticks were indeed frozen and preheated. The server said everything was bought frozen and reheated. The Salad, was a Sad side salad made with iceberg lettuce and one slice of tomato and sprinkled shredded cheese. Then we received our entrées and then realized that none of our food was fresh. The chicken from the Chicken Parmesan was in fact frozen chicken that was all preheated in a microwave. The pasta on the Chicken Parmesan was descent. The chicken on my wife's Chicken Alfredo was also store-baught microwave preheated chicken. The pasta was overcooked, mushy, and bland. Being one of the few "Italian" food restaurants, we thought everything would be made fresh to order. But it wasn't! I ate some of my meal and my wife barely touched hers. We still paid for the meal. To make matters worse and add insult to injury, we found out later that night when I was checking my credit card, I discovered that either the owner or one of the employees charged me an extra $7 to my ticket. It's not the $7 charge, it's the fact that they took the liberty to make an unauthorized charge to my card. They had already given me my receipt with a total amount. This is in fact, stealing! I never authorized the extra charge! It dissappoints me that they would stoop that low to take money from their customers without proper authorization. Please double-check your receipt and your financial institution for any unauthorized charges.
The food was great and the price was affordable. The ambiance was great with live piano music. And the best part was the service. The waiter was awesome and was really kind. I would definitely recommend coming here.
Little weird for us because I went with a work buddy and it gives you a super romantic vibe being in there 😅. But with that in mind it seems like a great place to take a date, stuff staff was exceptionally sweet and attentive to detail. Rolls were warm and soft, pasta came out super hot, calamari was cooked just perfectly. At the end of our meal they brought out a piece of cake for us to try and it was delicious.
I was craving pizza and we were in our way to Texas for the weekend. We stopped at Giovanni’s and it did not disappoint. It will be our Ardmore go to place from now on. Delish pizza, great service, and they even had a gentleman playing the keyboard. I highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
