We had the catfish plate with fried okra and coleslaw. Also, the liver and onions with okra and Mac and cheese. With a side order of loaded fries and calf fries. Everything was very good and our waitress, Kim, was fantastic. She checked on us numerous times, which added to our experience along with handling the bar and other tables. I liked the regular catfish better than the spicy one. The liver and onions were very tender. The calf fries were tender, not the best we have had, but they were still good.
Stand alone restaurant with adequate parking. Fairly new restaurant but is showing the signs of neglect. We were greeted by a very political cutout in the entryway. I don't care what your political stance is but I came to eat, not vote or talk politics. We almost left at that point. Should have... The staff was hopelessly overworked. The menu is widely varied but at the same time very limited. We had a hard time selecting. The spicy catfish was very soggy. Hobo classic Hamburger was bland and unremarkable. French fries were not the worst I've had, but close. The prices were on the high side for good food but for the very lackluster meals we were served. it was very very high. Given the vast selection of restaurants to choose from, why would you go here? Highly recommend you skip this one and go anywhere else.
Each time we’ve been to Hobo Joe's, we’ve had the best experiences. Staff is always so kind and welcoming. This is a perfect place for a date night or even just a get together with friends. We love the new GM, Tiffany. Always welcomes us with a smile and makes it her mission to come by our table to say hi! And our friend Ebony helped us last time we were in and made us feel like family. I definitely recommend going in the next time y’all are looking for a good time!
I have been to Hobo Joe's multiple times. I actually had stopped coming as there were too many young people not doing their job. It would take forever to get waited on. I decided to give it another try a few months ago. Now every time I have been I have had excellent service by Tiffany and Ebony. They are both great at making sure I am taken care of. The service is amazing, the food is amazing and I love the atmosphere. I will definitely keep coming back.
Loved the atmosphere. Customer service was great. She even asked if we wanted out tea's freshened so we could take with us. We had pizza, and I big fat rubber dove loved it. Yummy in my tummy. I didn't get a chance to use the chalkboards, I will next time I go. 💛💚💙🩵💜 heart review!
