The catfish is awesome the sides are very good. The fries were not great seemed to be reheated. But I’m definitely coming back
Visited this place before making our stop to Texoma and the casino. It's was good catfish. It could be updated, and service could be more appealing, but it was overall okay. If you're more about the food, it's good.
Found this on Google maps. It was off the highway a bit and no one would see it from the road. If you like catfish it’s worth the stop. I saved it and will be back.
UPDATE Nov 2023: This might become a Thanksgiving Day lunch tradition; this time we came before. We needed a road trip and coming here was as good as any. Besides we needed to get into OK to cash in our OK MegaMillions ticket. Great food again and excellent service. We only got three fillets for two us which was plenty and the best side dishes. UPDATE Nov 2022: Back for another serving of catfish post-Turkey day. Lesson learned one fillet is more than enough along with two sides. Unless you are very hungry and/or want leftovers. Not as crowded as our first visit but a number of families there with kids out of school this week. Lots of wait staff on hand so very good service.MAR 2022: Great excuse on a nice spring day to take a road trip here from Plano, TX. Huck's was recommended to us and we visited some of the places we lived/worked/shopped 40 yrs ago in area. One fillet with two sides was more than enough but we went for the apricot cobble with ice cream as well. Way too much. Meal was great dessert not so much. Very popular with the seasoned citizen crowd and locals. Off the beaten track. Lots of seating inside so don't be worried about all the parked cars.
Huck’s has been a long-standing “tradition” for our family. We actually discovered Huck’s on the way to Choctaw casino in Durant, probably around 2016. For years, we have visited Huck’s, usually on a trip to the casino, but sometimes just to satisfy our catfish and home cookin’ craving! It’s well worth the trip, even if you’re reading this from around the Dallas area. I recommend the 1/2 order of catfish, tell them to “burn it”, and some of the side options vary by day of the week. If you go on the weekend, on Saturday, get the fried okra and black eyed peas with your catfish! You can also ask for hush puppies and butter before the meal. Give it a try!
