I rated the food a 4, but only because it all seemed truly prepared in house from scratch. The flavors weren't quite as fabulous as we hoped and expected - but totally not bad. When the server noticed we weren't impressed, she did try to make it right.
We had the corn chowder, pork with cherries, Sarah's salad, and a couple dessert options.
We do travel a lot and eat out frequently. Upon reflection, we think the food is just right for the local audience. The highly recommended dishes like chicken spaghetti are probably really great. If we have a chance to return, we would probably stick with that. Still recommend giving it a try!

This is a great little place!!! The food was so greasy and delicious. Our waitress was so welcoming and kind. If you are in town or passing by this is a must stop place. The pies are to die for.

Great little lunch spot in downtown Gainesville, TX. Friendly, attentive staff. Comfortable atmosphere. Great food. The soup was really good and hearty. The BLT was good but I should have gotten it on the wheat berry. Had the peach tea (on special) and couldn’t get enough. It was slightly sweetened with a hint of peach. Refreshing!

Stopped here for lunch on a trip from DFW to OK. I had the chicken spaghetti and it was wonderful! It included a nice side salad with pecans and pears. My brother had a great BLT, and my spouse had a delicious chicken salad croissant sandwich. The server was speedy and courteous, and the interior was really quaint. Highly recommend!

Best restaurant in a while. Fast friendly service during lunch hour and the food was delicious. Definitely a must try . Chicken spaghetti orders have charity contributions. Not to mention the soapilla cheesecake was one of the best I have ever had.
