We stopped here last night. Ordered two nearly identical small sandwiches and two kid's pizzas. The wait was over 10 minutes which felt excessive given we were the only people there. The pizzas were good but the sandwiches were inedible. My husband (who I should mention has much less sensitive taste buds than I do) thought I was being picky when I said the sandwich tasted like something on it was rancid. But then he took his first bite. I'm not sure which ingredient was spoiled, but something was definitely spoiled. We didn't eat anymore for fear of food poisoning. At least my kids got a decent meal - that's the only reason for 2 stars instead of 1. The quality of food here is NOT up to normal schlotskys levels.
I really wanted to have a great experience and great sandwich, but it just didn't happen. A newer, very pretty restaurant that was clean and inviting. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful. I was traveling with a vegetarian, and the person who took our order actually knew about the the cheese original that was no longer on the menu. Sadly, the most important part of the visit - the sandwich - didn't live up to expectations. The bun was dry, the meat on my turkey original was sub par, and the vegetables were awful. The tomatoes weren't even green they were white, and had no flavor and the consistency of cardboard. I only ate half because the flavor was off-putting. I know this chain just did a rebranding, but it doesn't seem to be sticking. There are too many good choices out there to eat something like this.
Despite the lack of staff today the general manager was absolutely amazing but the owner needs to do better for his staff they need more support and not put it on his 2 loyal employees. Kenya was absolutely fantastic trying to help in the front of house and back and keep customers happy.
I will be taking another break from this location and Schlotzsky’s in general. The bread recipe was changed for the worse. It is is thinner, has a powdery texture, and has no taste. The amount of meat and vegetables was pitifully small. My favorite soup, Broccoli Cheese, was bitter and sour; it was extremely hot and tasted like it was scalded. There was no unsweet tea in the dining area. Service was slow not only for me but for the drive through as I watched car after car asked to pull forward and wait. Their credit card machine I assume was down because I was asked if I was paying by card when I first walked up. I was asked if if wanted to dine in—I did—and my meal was delivered to my table in a sack. The hot water in the men’s bathroom is barely a trickle. Very disappointed. My almost 200 reward points will just sit there because I’m not coming back. The franchise owner needs to be involved more.
Clean, across from park/zoo. The staff are kind and attentive. The food is yummy. I love the new marketing. We have gone two weeks in a row. They have a nice patio. The Cinnamon roll was shared between 3 people.
