We had a pleasant stay after a collision with a buck on i35, we arrived at 4:30 am on a tow. The front desk gal was very kind and inviting. They gave us the best rate they could and was very empathetic. The next morning we got up to a wonderful hotel breakfast. They were very concerned to make sure we had enough to eat before pulling the breakfast. I still had 2 hours of travel left to my destination after getting a rental. In the midst of the chaotic weekend I realized I had left some clothes in the closet. I phoned the hotel and they immediately checked the room and were very reassuring they would put them at the front desk for me. When I returned 2 days later on our way home, they had all our belongings packaged up and ready to go. Very friendly courteous staff and clean fresh smelling rooms! I would recommend.
Stayed here overnight after my sons football game. Very bad service!! Called early after booking the room and requested extra towels since we would check in very late. None placed in the room. No security on the entry doors, the whole motel stunk on cigarettes, the fire alarm in our room was wrapped with a trash bag, and, stained bedding, bugs were flying around the room. I will chance the two hour drive home next time, or stay in Ardmore!!
Although in a good location in Sulphur, the staff here are amongst the rudest you'll come across in the area. Not only is the motel sub-par, but wife and I believe they're skimming money somehow. We paid for the room but then are charged "completely separately" a 50$ security deposit without disclosing it first, but THEN on another transaction, charge us a 15$ pet fee. In doing so and without asking it overdraft our account and they did not even care. We asked for a refund, they said they issued it... still waiting. We're already in the process of getting Wyndham involved in which is going well thus far. Moral of rhe review.... just pay the extra money and stay at the Artesian.
I love love to stay in this hotel every time I come to Sulphur I stayed in here several times. This is a family owned business and they put so much love into what they do. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, I haven’t encounter any bugs like other reviews stated, and regarding the breakfast is great for the price you are paying. I have no complaints. Owners are nice, polite, honest, and hard working people.
A $97 room ended up being $137 because I used a card and not cash. I wasn't told I would be charged $137. I would have found somewhere else to stay if I had been. They didn't give me a reciept. The room in that place wasn't worth $97 let alone $137. If I had read all the negative reviews of this place, I wouldn't have stayed there.
