We had a great family lunch here. Everything was tasty, hot, and big portions. Kids had popcorn shrimp and Mac and cheese, and I had chicken, shrimp, and catfish basket. They were feeling adventurous so we also shared some delicious gator bites. Y’all know how hard it can be to get kids to eat, but they cleaned their plates! The restaurant was clean,and the staff was very friendly. We’ll definitely be back soon to try other items on the menu.
Love this place! Food is great. They had some of the best the best gumbo I’ve ever had too! The admirals platter is excellent if you’re just trying it out. It’s got a little bit of everything and is definitely enough to share with 2 people at a very reasonable price. Will be going again soon I’m sure!
We stopped by just for a quick lunch and the food was really good. My husband got a catfish basket and I got a white fish basket. Both of the fish had excellent flavor and no need for the tartar sauce on it. The french fries had a very good flavor which we enjoyed. The hush puppies were a little too dense for my taste. The atmosphere was nice and clean, my only comment would be the music was a little too loud and you had to talk over it. The one disappointing factor that we had is when we asked the staff a few questions about the difference between the white fish and catch fish, it seemed that none of them could tell us the difference. We will definitely be back and try the crab legs and other flavors for dinner. We also enjoyed being able to just walk in and order, be seated and fill up our own beverages without having to wait for a server.
Picked this spot for lunch and dinner today. Tried a variety of food each time…. Étouffée, Gumbo, Fried green tomatoes, catfish, hushpuppies, sausage & boudin balls. All was absolutely delicious,really good flavor. we will be going back. Super service. Good sweet tea. Also enjoyed the music selection.
Edit: within a few minutes of leaving this review, the Catch left their response. I'm not sure how they took steps to address my concerns that quickly, especially when there were only two employees working when we were there. Looks like a canned response to me. My wife and I had dinner here tonight. Didn't realize it was a fast food place. Kinda like a Long John Silvers. But a lot more expensive. $35 for two people??? And no where near as good. Wife said the cole slaw had a funny sour taste. My red beans and rice had NO taste. And the catfish is WAY undercooked. It might not be bad after we take it home and finish cooking it in the air fryer. We certainly won't be back here.
